Person
Argentocoxus
Argentocoxus was a Caledonian chieftain in northern Britain around 210 CE, known only from the history of Cassius Dio. During peace talks after the campaigns of Septimius Severus, the empress Julia Domna jested about the free ways of British women, and Argentocoxus's wife replied that they consorted openly with the best men, while Roman women were seduced in secret by the worst.
