19th century · 19th century

Bakht Singh of Ajaigarh was a Bundela Rajput ruler descended from the house of Panna. After the British took Banda, the former seat of his family's branch, he was granted the hill fort of Ajaigarh and its lands by sanad in the early nineteenth century. This founded Ajaigarh State, later an 11-gun salute state of the Bundelkhand Agency.
