Battle of Cer
The Battle of Cer was fought on 15–24 August 1914 on and around Mount Cer in western Serbia, when the Serbian army under Stepa Stepanović defeated the first Austro-Hungarian invasion of Serbia. It forced the invaders back across the Drina and is often described as the first Allied victory of the First World War.
