Drina
The Drina is a river of the western Balkans, about 346 km long, formed by the Tara and Piva and flowing north into the Sava. For much of its course it marks the border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. The Ottoman bridge at Višegrad, built for Mehmed Pasha Sokolović in 1577, inspired Ivo Andrić's novel The Bridge on the Drina.
