Cassander

Cassander was a Macedonian general and ruler of Macedonia after the death of Alexander the Great, one of the Diadochi who fought over Alexander's empire. He joined Ptolemy and Lysimachus in a coalition against Antigonus I. Their victory at Gaza in 312 BCE allowed Seleucus to retake Babylon, the event from which the Seleucid Empire dated its era.
