Battle of Llantada
The Battle of Llantada was fought in July 1068 on the border between Castile and León, between Sancho II of Castile and his brother Alfonso VI of León. The brothers, who had divided the kingdom of their father Ferdinand I, agreed that the victor would take the loser's realm. Sancho won, but Alfonso did not give up his kingdom, and the struggle was renewed at Golpejera in 1072.
