Bhojshala

Also known as Bhoj Shala

The Bhojshala is a monument in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, India, associated by tradition with the 11th-century Paramara king Bhoja, a famous patron of learning, and held by Hindus to have been a temple of the goddess Saraswati and a centre of Sanskrit study. Muslims regard it as the Kamal Maula Mosque. Protected by the Archaeological Survey of India, it has long been the subject of a religious dispute.
