Bogor
Bogor is a city in West Java, Indonesia, about 60 kilometres south of Jakarta, known in the colonial period as Buitenzorg. From the eighteenth century the governors-general of the Dutch East Indies had a residence there, and the botanical garden founded beside the palace in 1817 became a leading centre of tropical science. The palace is now one of the official residences of the President of Indonesia.
