Book of Mormon
The Book of Mormon is a sacred text of the Latter Day Saint movement, published in 1830 by Joseph Smith, who said he had translated it from golden plates revealed by an angel. It tells of ancient peoples who migrated from Israel to the Americas and of a visit by the risen Christ to them. Accepted as scripture alongside the Bible by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it has been translated into many languages.
