Borommarachathirat I
Borommarachathirat I, earlier Khun Luang Pa-ngua, ruler of Suphanburi, was king of Ayutthaya from 1370 to 1388. A brother-in-law of U Thong, the founder of Ayutthaya, he seized the throne from U Thong's son Ramesuan and established the Suphannaphum dynasty in power. He campaigned repeatedly against Sukhothai, which became a tributary of Ayutthaya in 1378.
