Boryslav
Boryslav is a town in Lviv Oblast in western Ukraine, in the foothills of the Carpathians. From the mid-19th century it became the centre of the Galician oil industry, and in the early 20th century the oil basin around Boryslav and Drohobych made Austrian Galicia one of the world's leading oil producers. Its oil workers were largely Jewish and Ukrainian.
