Bremen Ratskeller
The Bremen Ratskeller is the wine cellar beneath the town hall of Bremen, in use since the early 15th century. It holds one of the largest collections of German wines and keeps what is reputed to be the oldest cask wine in Germany, a Rüdesheim wine from 1653. It was made famous by Wilhelm Hauff's tale Fantasies in the Bremen Ratskeller of 1827.
