Bryakhimov
Bryakhimov was a town of Volga Bulgaria mentioned in the Russian chronicles, whose exact location is uncertain. In 1164 Andrei Bogolyubsky of Vladimir-Suzdal led a major campaign against the Bulgars, defeated their army and took and burned Bryakhimov and other towns. The campaign was one of a long series of wars between Vladimir-Suzdal and the Bulgars for control of the middle Volga and its trade.
