Cape Delgado
Cape Delgado is a headland on the coast of northern Mozambique, close to the border with Tanzania. In the nineteenth century it marked the southern limit of the East African coast claimed by the sultans of Zanzibar, and it later formed the boundary between German East Africa and Portuguese Mozambique. It gives its name to the Mozambican province of Cabo Delgado.
