Carhaix-Plouguer
Carhaix-Plouguer is a town in central Brittany, in the department of Finistère. Under Roman rule it was Vorgium, the capital of the Osismii, a planned town with a grid of streets, public baths and a long aqueduct. It lay at the meeting of several Roman roads across the Armorican peninsula and later became the main town of the Poher district.
