Central American Civil War
The Central American Civil War was fought from 1826 to 1829 within the Federal Republic of Central America between conservatives, led by President Manuel José Arce, and liberals. The liberal forces of Francisco Morazán won, taking Guatemala City in 1829, and Morazán became federal president in 1830, though the federation broke apart within a decade.
