Cerro Azul (Peru)
Cerro Azul is a coastal headland and archaeological site in the lower Cañete valley of Peru, south of Lima. In the late pre-Hispanic period it was a fortified fishing centre of the lordship of Guarco, with large adobe buildings for storing and processing fish. Its defenders resisted the Incas for some years before being conquered.
