Cerro del Villar
Cerro del Villar is an archaeological site at the mouth of the Guadalhorce river near Málaga in southern Spain, once an island in the river's estuary. Phoenicians founded a settlement there in the 8th century BCE, with houses, workshops and a busy harbour. It was largely abandoned in the 6th century BCE, when its people moved to Malaka, the future Málaga.
