Chenes
Chenes is a region of northern Campeche state in Mexico, and the name of a Maya architectural style of the Late Classic period that developed there. Chenes buildings are known for facades covered with stone mosaic masks, often framing doorways in the shape of a monster's open mouth. Hochob and Santa Rosa Xtampak are among its main sites, and the style also appears at Edzná.
