Ciamis
Ciamis is a town and regency in West Java, Indonesia, in hill country near the border with Central Java. It lies in the old heartland of the Sundanese kingdom of Galuh, whose royal centre at Kawali, with its 14th-century inscriptions, is in the regency. The area later came under Cirebon and Mataram, and was governed by regents under Dutch rule until Indonesian independence.
