Darius III

Darius III was the last king of the Achaemenid Empire. He was defeated by Alexander the Great at the battles of Issus and Gaugamela and was killed by his own officers in 330 BCE while fleeing eastward. His fall marked the end of the Achaemenid Empire and its absorption into Alexander's Macedonian realm.
