Deeg
Deeg is a town in eastern Rajasthan, India, north of Bharatpur. It was a stronghold of the Jat rulers of Bharatpur, fortified by Badan Singh in the early 18th century. Suraj Mal built its water palaces, a garden complex of pavilions, tanks and fountains. In 1804, during the Second Anglo-Maratha War, the British won a battle there against Holkar's army.
