Donghu
The Donghu ('Eastern Hu') were a nomadic confederation in the steppe east of the Xiongnu. Around the time of the Xiongnu Empire's foundation, Modu Chanyu defeated and destroyed them, absorbing their territory and people. Their remnants are traditionally linked to later peoples such as the Xianbei and Wuhuan.
