Emperor Ming of Liu Song
Emperor Ming of Liu Song, Liu Yu, took the throne in 466 after the murder of his nephew Liu Ziye. His reign was marked by the slaughter of many of his own relatives and by the loss of the lands north of the Huai river to Northern Wei, which weakened the Liu Song dynasty.
