Emperor Taizong of Jin

1075–1135 · 12th century · Also known as Wanyan Wuqimai, Wanyan Sheng

Emperor Taizong of Jin, Wanyan Wuqimai, was the second emperor of the Jurchen Jin dynasty, ruling from 1123 to 1135 after his brother Aguda. In 1125 his armies captured the last Liao emperor, Tianzuo, ending the Liao state. He then turned on the Song, whose capital Kaifeng fell in the Jingkang Incident of 1127, bringing most of northern China under Jin rule.
