Jurchen Jin dynasty

The Jurchen Jin dynasty ruled northern China from 1115 until 1234. It destroyed the Liao and captured the Song capital Kaifeng in 1127. It was conquered by the Mongols in the early growth of the Mongol Empire, and the later Manchu founders of the Qing Empire claimed descent from the Jurchens.
