Mongols

The Mongols are a nomadic people of the Mongolian steppe who were united under Genghis Khan in 1206. Their conquests created the Mongol Empire and reshaped Eurasia, destroying states such as the Khwarazmian Empire and the Song Dynasty and threatening the Ayyubid and Mamluk realms. Mongol rulers founded the Yuan Dynasty in China.
