Ezion-Geber

Ezion-Geber was a port on the Gulf of Aqaba, at the northern tip of the Red Sea, mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. According to 1 Kings, Solomon built ships there that sailed with Phoenician crews to Ophir for gold; its exact site is uncertain, with Tell el-Kheleifeh between modern Aqaba and Eilat the most often proposed.
