Fomboni

Fomboni is the main town of Moheli (Mwali), the smallest of the main islands of the Comoros. It was the seat of the sultans of Moheli in the 19th century, including Ramanetaka and Djoumbe Fatima, and its court life was shaped by Islam and Swahili culture. It is now the capital of the autonomous island of Moheli within the Union of the Comoros.
