Forcalquier

Forcalquier is a hill town in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department of south-eastern France. From the 11th century to 1209 it was the capital of a county formed from the inheritance of the counts of Provence, covering the Durance valley and Sisteron. Its citadel hill, former cathedral and Franciscan convent survive.
