Fort Gustavus
Fort Gustavus was the Dutch fort at Chinsurah on the Hooghly River in Bengal, headquarters of the Dutch East India Company's directorate of Bengal. It protected the company's warehouses and residences and was the centre of its trade in Bengal textiles, silk and saltpetre. After Chinsurah passed to the British in the 1820s the fort was demolished, and little of it survives.
