Gawdawpalin Temple
The Gawdawpalin Temple is one of the largest temples of Pagan (Bagan) in central Myanmar. Begun under King Narapatisithu and completed under his son Htilominlo in the early thirteenth century, it is a two-storeyed brick temple with stucco decoration, among the last great monuments of the Pagan period. It was badly damaged in the earthquake of 1975 and later restored.
