Geumwa

Also known as Geumwa of Dongbuyeo

Geumwa is a king of Eastern Buyeo in Korean tradition, recorded in the Samguk sagi as the successor of Haeburu. In the legend Haeburu found him as a child under a stone, shining like gold. He took in Yuhwa, who gave birth to Jumong, and raised the boy at his court until Jumong fled south to found Goguryeo.
