Greiz

Greiz is a town in eastern Thuringia, Germany, on the White Elster in the Vogtland. From 1564 it was the seat of the Elder Line of the House of Reuss, whose princes ruled from its Upper and Lower Castles and summer palace until 1918. In the 19th century it became a centre of woollen textile manufacturing.
