Hanigalbat
Hanigalbat was the name used for the reduced Mitanni state after its defeat by the Hittites. After Suppiluliuma I sacked Washukanni around 1340 BCE, Mitanni's territory was confined largely to the Khabur valley. Hanigalbat came under growing Assyrian pressure and was eventually absorbed by Assyria, completing the decline of the Mitanni Empire.
