Hiri Motu
Hiri Motu is a simplified form of the Motu language of the Port Moresby area and one of the national languages of Papua New Guinea. It developed from the trading language of the hiri voyages between the Motu and the peoples of the Gulf of Papua, and spread as Police Motu under colonial administration. Its use has declined in favour of Tok Pisin and English.
