Holetown

Holetown is a town on the west coast of Barbados in the parish of Saint James. English settlers landed there in February 1627 aboard the William and John, sent by the merchant William Courteen, and founded the first settlement on the island, first named Jamestown. Bridgetown soon replaced it as the main port, and its founding is commemorated each year.
