Huseyngulu Khan

Huseyngulu Khan was the last khan of Baku, ruling from 1792. In 1806 the Russian commander Pavel Tsitsianov came to accept the city's surrender and was killed at its gates by the khan's men. Huseyngulu Khan fled to Persia, and Russian troops occupied Baku later that year, annexing the khanate to the Russian Empire.
