Imperial-Royal Landwehr
The Imperial-Royal Landwehr was the territorial army of the Austrian half of Austria-Hungary, created in 1869 after the Compromise of 1867 alongside the joint Imperial and Royal Army and the Hungarian Honvéd. At first a reserve force, it became a full front-line army before 1914 and fought throughout the First World War.
