15th century · 15th century

Jampa Lhakhang is a 15th-century Buddhist temple in Lo Manthang, the walled capital of the former Kingdom of Lo in Mustang, Nepal. Dedicated to Maitreya, whose large statue fills its central hall, it is decorated with mandala murals of exceptional quality. Conservation work since the 1990s has restored its paintings.
