Kadava dynasty
The Kadava dynasty was a line of chieftains in northern Tamil Nadu who claimed descent from the Pallavas and served as feudatories of the Cholas. In the thirteenth century, under Kopperunchinga I and his son Kopperunchinga II, they took advantage of Chola weakness to rule an independent principality from Sendamangalam, before being subdued by the Pandyas.
