The Kalinago Territory is a district on the east coast of Dominica set aside in 1903 for the island's indigenous Kalinago, or Island Caribs, and known until 2015 as the Carib Territory. Home to around 3,000 people, it is governed by an elected chief and council and holds land in common. It is one of the last indigenous communities in the eastern Caribbean.
