King Wei of Chu
King Wei of Chu ruled the State of Chu from 339 to 329 BCE, a time when it was at the height of its territorial power. He defeated the State of Yue in the east, traditionally dated to about 334 BCE, extending Chu to the sea, and defeated Qi at Xuzhou in 333 BCE. His reign marked the peak of Chu before its long struggle with Qin.
