Konavle
Konavle is a fertile region and municipality at the southern tip of Croatia, between Cavtat and the Bay of Kotor, bordering Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. The Republic of Ragusa bought it from Bosnian nobles in two stages, in 1419 and 1427, gaining its main source of grain and wine. It is known for its traditional costume and embroidery.
