Korkai
Korkai was an ancient port of the Pandya kingdom near the mouth of the Tamraparani River in modern Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu, India. It was the centre of the pearl fisheries of the Gulf of Mannar and traded with the Roman world, and Greek writers knew it as Kolkhoi. The coastline has since moved, and the site now lies several kilometres inland.
