Kullaba

Kullaba was one of the two original settlements that grew together to form the Sumerian city of Uruk in the 4th millennium BCE, alongside Eanna. It contained the sanctuary of the sky god An, with the White Temple on its high terrace. In Sumerian poetry Kullaba is used as a name for Uruk itself, and Gilgamesh is called lord of Kullaba.
