Kuto Besak
Kuto Besak is a walled brick palace-fortress (kraton) on the Musi River in Palembang, Sumatra, completed in 1797 for the Sultanate of Palembang. It served as the residence of the sultans until the Dutch conquest in 1821, after which it was used as a military fort; it still stands near the Great Mosque.
