Lake Batur
Lake Batur is a crater lake in the caldera of Mount Batur in Kintamani, north-eastern Bali, and the island's largest lake. Considered sacred, it is believed to feed the springs that water rice terraces across much of Bali, and its goddess is honoured at the temple of Ulun Danu Batur. The Bali Aga village of Trunyan stands on its eastern shore.
