Lakshman Sena
Lakshman Sena was the last major king of the Sena dynasty of Bengal, reigning in the late 12th and early 13th centuries. His court at Nabadwip patronised Sanskrit poets, among them Jayadeva, the author of the Gita Govinda. Around 1204 Bakhtiyar Khalji surprised Nabadwip, and the aged king fled to eastern Bengal, where his successors ruled for some decades.
