Landak River
The Landak is a river of West Kalimantan, Indonesia, a tributary of the Kapuas that joins it at Pontianak. Its upper valley was the seat of the old Landak sultanate and an area of gold and diamond working. The junction of the two rivers was chosen by Syarif Abdurrahman Alkadrie in 1771 for the trading settlement that became Pontianak.
